Custodians

Does that mean the person that takes custody of something? Unfortunately, I lost my custodians through a political move sanctioned by the board. They were transfered to other schools. It was an involuntary trade. They didn't want to take custody of my building and I had no choice of them. I heard rumors of who got the best deal. All I know is that I have to break in new people.

Maybe I didn't lose much because it took three reminders and two months for my head custodian to clean the dirt off the cafeteria doors. When I got there as principal I thought the doors were painted black the dirt was so thick. With a scraper, we found that oak was the original material from which the door was made and finally today I saw the color of the wood for the first time. Will my new people take custody of the building? Who knows.
