A walk at sunset

Is was restless. I had completed a week when Donna was off, my VP took a vacation, I had to do his job as well as mine, and I came home to try to relax. Donna said I should go for a walk, so I suited up in dark grey for the twilight and took off for Bunny Morales Park. half way through the walk it was getting very dark. so I quickened the pace. I came across the Dvoor Farm field where the deer were grazing and decided to cross it instead of sticking to the path. The deer tolerated me for a while then snorted theri disgust that they couldn't even have this little field to themselves and ran off to watch me from a distance. I was tired by this now and squatted at the top of a hill looking over the field and all the lights of civilization surrounding it. I heard the noise of traffic, saw the traffic lights change and looked to see a star, no a planet, no a jet on its way to newark. Right after it was another. The deer had such a little area to graze. I just wanted to be their brother, but they didn't want any part of me. I was in drak gray but they werent' fooled; they knew I was a human. I wanted to have a weapon on me; a sling or a bow. I feel primitive out in the field. it is an ancient feeling; the idea of being subsittant and being dependent on the earth and the weather. It is an elemenal feeling. I came home home tired and refreshed.
