Mnemosyne, Muse of Memory

It was another project on the refrigerator door; to paint the doors in the family room. I spent two days sanding, priming, filling, and painting the doors only to realize that the paint was beautiful, but too white.

Donna and I picked out a new color and I began to do it agian. There is an art to painting a paneled door with oil paint and I was getting better at it with each time. I was getting tired of it, though. Then Donna goes to her mother and helps her paint her kitchen with a muted gold. She liked the color so much she brought a sample home and we went to Lowe's to get four gallons of paint for the family room and kitchen. Once we began to apply the paint, she didn't like it; it was too yellow and not gold enough. Everytime the pain chip was held up to the wall it looked almost exactly the same except it was a tad lighter. She was very unhappy. But she seems to be unhappy about everything all the time.

I liked the color and the cleanly look. I liked the fact that we got rid of some clutter in the process. Lately, I like clean looking rooms. So I'm happy and tired and Donna is very upset and exhausted.
