Taking away your will to get up and do things is the first to go; you just can't think about anything but the work it takes to breathe through a nose that has shrinked to a tenth of its normal capacity. Not having an appitite and just wanting to sleep is the condition you have, not the one you want.

But is a break in the routine all that bad? Yes, it's an unpleasent thing to go throug, but it keeps people from thinking that you are indispensible and you realize that all you worry about will pass. The important thing is what has always been important; love, family, values, beliefs, and ideals. Goals can be redefined and deadlines can be reset. They are not that important.

It was coughing, not sleeping, throwing up, fever, and a general feeling of yuckiness continuing through the entire weekend that possessed me. My weekends are my times of sanity; my times to get my mind together, but this weekend, I vegetated before the TV and drank water and eliminated all and more that I drank. I wasn't hungry, and I didn't want to work at anything. Donna had to do everything; including shoveling snow and grocery shopping. I was useless. The question is whether or not I am fit to work on Monday now that I have destroyed the weekend. We'll have to wait until the moring to find out.

I am presently taking a cough syrup, vitimins, tylenol and advil alternately to reduce the fever, and Corocidin HBP. I don't have an appetitie. I wonder how long this will take.
