The week before Christmas
It is the week before Christmas and we have four days to spend in school before we can have our holiday. I am already in a festive mood with the goodies coming into the office. I write nice notes to staff members.
Lately, I have been able to keep a clean desk, do observations, write them up and keep up with other paperwork needed in the job of serving as Interim Principal.
This morning I submitted my updated resume to the consultant selecting candidates. Who knows what will happen?
I live each day one at a time. I value each day and don't take it for granted. The big challenge right now is getting the time to find some little gifts for Donna. Heather and Wyatt keep sending new pics of Hannah on the web. Mom Wyatt sent a little something for Christmas and sounds like she is in good spirits and healthy. She is afraid of slipping on the ice and snow, which keeps her in somewhat.
The crazy Russian Math teacher just dropped off a bottle of cognac. Now I know how they keep from freezing in the winter! Well, I must do my appointed rounds and make contact with the school. I hope this time goes by quickly but I also enjoy this time while it is here because everyone is in a happy state and people are willing to work together and solve problems.
